1. Create intrigue
You can engage immediately your reader by leading off your newsletter with a
question. Here’s a pretty good one: If I will show you how you can triple
your income by paying me 30 minutes of your time, would you like to learn
more?
This is a very effective device, since you are not lecturing or preaching at
your reader. Your reader isn’t required to give his or her opinion. You are,
in fact, giving your reader an option.
2. Highlight the benefits of your product
Before you start writing, list all benefits of your product. Then organize
them in order of priority. In order to prioritize your benefits, ask as many
people as you can. That will help you. In almost every product you sell, you
can find “hidden benefits” that might be even more attractive than the
obvious benefit. “Hidden benefits” are like “hidden treasures.” They are so
much more exciting to read about.
3. Detail the most important benefits
Describe in detail how and why your product achieves the benefit you are
claiming. Don’t use empty words such as “incredible” or “excellent” or
“amazing”. Your newsletter must be supported by reasons, facts, and
interesting details.
4. Don’t embellish or distort the facts
You must tell your readers exactly what they will get for their money.
Present only the exact specifications. Include all the information,
especially if the information is highly technical.
5. Provide testimony
Every product you are selling must be supported by third-part testimonials.
Otherwise, you run risks to be met with skepticism. It will do you credit,
if your product is confirmed by respected or famous people.
6. Always include a money-back guarantee
This is an essential condition. The second condition is that your money-back
guarantee must be believable. It should look like an official document or
like it has real monetary value.
